Dr. Baer is passionate about the human body, getting people out of pain and helping them improve the way their body functions. He has a four year chiropractic degree and several hundreds of hours of continuing education. These hours include an advanced degree in Sports Injuries and he has completed all the course work for a Masters degree in Exercise Rehab.
Dr. Baer became a chiropractor after being cured by a chiropractor from a debilitating case of sciatica. He first went to massage school and at the suggestion of his massage teacher, he went straight to chiropractic college. Dr. Baer graduated near the top of his class. Dr. Baer worked as an associate and very quickly branched out on his own. He noticed a lot of chiropractors trying to get their patients dependent on long term treatment plans and he wanted to help people get better faster and teach them how to stay better.
Dr. Baer and his wife and massage therapist Kim in 2004 opened Baer Chiropractic and Massage. Since then they have helped thousands of patients get better and stay better. From Dr. Baerís beginning, he has always been a strong believer in soft tissue treatment as a necessary supplement to chiropractic adjustments. If you donít treat the muscles a lot of times the misaligned joints will fall back into their patterns and yes, you will always need to be adjusted. He took his first Active Release Technique (ART) course in chiropractic school and has become a master in ART, one of the most advanced soft tissue treatments in the world. Dr. Baer is the only fully certified ART provider in the state of Kentucky with elite status. His experience is shown with patient success.
Dr. Baer has always had a goal to continue growing and get better at what he does. He continues to travel all over the country to achieve mastery in his field and study with world renowned chiropractors and physical therapists. In all these years he has added Neuro Kinetic Therapy (NKT), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Kinesio taping and exercise rehab to his ART tool box.
Dr. Baer is married to his business partner and massage therapist, Kim. They have two grown children and enjoy bike riding, gardening and traveling.
