Is Chiropractic Safe?
Chiropractors pay less than any other medical professionals for malpractice insurance. Many medical doctors pay as much as 50 times as much as chiropractors for malpractice. This is because the risk of chiropractic adjustments is considerably less than those of drugs or surgery. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association over 106,000 people die per year taking "properly" prescribed medications in the proper dosage. Another 420,000 die from taking the wrong medication or dosage. In total there are over 789,000 iatrogenic deaths per year. These statistics are not cited to scare you from going to the doctor but to shed some light on the relatively small risk of a chiropractic adjustment.
